Companies House Direct is our premier search tool for accessing and downloading company information directly from your own PC. Over 240 million images of company documents are available including company accounts, as well as a wide range of database information. Companies House Direct is a subscription service, so you will need to open an account with us. Opening an account is now free; thereafter a monthly subscription fee of £5.00 is charged as part of your monthly invoice, which would also include any documents or products that you may have purchased.

DVD ROM Directory

The DVD ROM Directory contains basic company details on over 2 million live companies registered in England, Scotland and Wales along with companies that have become dissolved in the last month. The DVD has a built in search facility that allows up to 6 combinations of searches to be made. The search options are company name, company number, registered office address lines, postcode, date of incorporation or range of dates, SIC(03) Codes or description, company type, company status or accounts type.

The directory is produced monthly and you can purchase a single copy for £30 or a year’s subscription for £300. Copies are available from Companies House Information Centres, alternatively you can purchase DVD ROM over the phone from the Customer Care Department on 02920 380820 and pay by Credit/Debit Card or in writing accompanied by a cheque made payable to ‘Companies House’ and send to Customer Care, Companies House, Crown Way, Cardiff, CF14 3UZ.

Please note the DVD ROM Directory does not show details of annual turnover, telephone numbers or directors’ details. The information displayed cannot be exported, however we do provide a one off version of the directory with exportable files at a cost of £1,200. The maximum number of results that can be exported at one time is 30,000.

The DVD ROM Change of Name and Dissolved Companies Index provides basic information on companies that have been dissolved or changed their name during the last 20 years in England, Scotland and Wales. The DVD has a built in flexible search facility allowing you to identify companies based on the following criteria: Company name, company number, registered office address (if not dissolved), postcode (if not dissolved), date of dissolution (or range of dates), company type, company status and change of name.

The DVD ROM Change of Name and Dissolved Companies Index is produced annually and costs £30.
