NEW STEERING BOARD CHAIRMAN AT COMPANIES HOUSE

Companies House has appointed Andrew Summers to a key position as Chairman of its Steering Board.

Welcoming Andrew’s appointment, Claire Clancy, Chief Executive at Companies House said:

“Andrew has an enormous amount of experience in advising government departments and in running companies in the private sector. He will be doubly valuable to Companies House because he understands the environment we work in as part of government, and has first-hand experience of the effect the way we work has on our customers running companies. Companies House already has a very strong reputation as an agency which leads government in the delivery of services to customers, but Andrew’s experience will help us to raise our performance in going even further to meet customer expectations. I look forward very much to the challenges he will bring.”

Speaking to senior managers at Companies House, Andrew acknowledged the strength of the agency’s performance and its commitment to customers. He complimented Companies House on its achievements, while recognising that:

“Customer expectations are rising all the time and so we clearly need to continue improving the way we communicate and deliver our services, as well as being at the forefront of transformational government.
